confession

Sometimes I want to learn to sew.

And then a part of me dies inside.

What is so wrong with the ability to sew?

Just wondering...

That is how I feel when I think about how I kind of wish I had done pageants when I was a kid.

I'll take lessons with you. We don't have to tell anyone.

I was having this same thought last week when I stapled the hem of my suitpants.

Plus do you watch Project Runway? It's amazing.

Sewing is awesome.

What do you want to learn to sew? I know how to sew a straight line and that's about it.

I wish I could sew better. I'm becoming really good at doing hte straight line thing, but that's about as far as my fanciness gets. I always feel sorry though, that I didn't just listen to grandma kk when she urged urged urged me to take sewing lessons. I thought she didn't know what was cool at the time. boy, was i wrong.

Also, I've never taken sewing lessons.

(I had a grandmother who used to be a seamstress.)

Wish I could show you all the draperies and pillows and bedding I've made for my home--at a savings of thousands. Start with a little valance for the baby's room! Think of all the cool Halloween costumes you can make for her! It's worth it, and you're not a fifties throwback if you sew. Look at what's happened with knitting!

The child bride and I will throw a sewing party. I have a surger. using it is almost better than chocolate and the other thing better than chocolate.

Is this some sideways hint that I've never sent your ducky towel?? hehehe I'll meet you in April to hand-deliver it-- if you're in the state you were last in when I last saw you. =P
