pretty sure...

....that playing "Do I Have A Right?" counts as bar prep. Or something. So what if it's targeted to middle schoolers? Go play it! You're welcome.

I think you're correct.

In that vein, might I recommend "JUDGE (for yourself)"--it's the world's dullest card game. I'm pretty sure it was created by a depraved bar applicant in the final hours before the test because that is the ONLY time anyone could possibly think that family fun = a night of deciphering what seem to be dated MBE questions on glossy cards.

But you can impress your friends. And that is what really matters.

My husband bought me the board game version of "are you smarter than a 5th grader" for Christmas, and I count it as prep for my comprehensive exam. Turns out that yes, I am smarter or at least significantly better educated than a 5th grader

By the way Motion DeSmiths-- I'm glad you're enjoying JUDGE for yourself. To be perfectly honest, that was a regift at work, we have hated that game for years and years. If you think its dull as a lawyer, imagine how awful it is for people who AREN"T lawyers and don't even watch crime shows.

Pretty dull.

Maybe you should watch the Arrested Development episodes featuring Maritime Law instead? You're a crook Captain Hook judge won't you throw the book at the piiiiiiiirate?

Mhana--I KNOW it was a regift--that's why it was so funny! Tell me you have not forgotten our attempt at playing it one evening with your ma. If our patience for it lasted for even 5 minutes, I'll be impressed. I think we then played a rousing game of Sweeping Generalizations.

How do you find things like this game? It is so funny and surprisingly kind of addictive.

I'm embarrassed by how much time I spent playing that stupid game.

Gonna name drop here. So prepare yourself.

A few months ago I went to dinner with our fav Sandra Day. The icivics site, that hosts this Do I have a right? Game, is all Sandra would talk about. She travels around the nation almost full time giving speeches and spreading the word on the importance of civics education.

Icivics.org is her idea of how to reach middle schoolers, she has given up on the rest of us. Sandra happens to believe that the lack of civics education has damaged our form of government because the citizenry no longer knows when the Constitution is being violated.

So look at you. Foot soldier for Sandra Day by spreading her gospel of civics.org.

Why are the female lawyers in that game so dorky looking?
